September 10, the school held a ceremony and a grand recognition of our school's 2008 standard-bearer of the annual ethics, the ethical development of advanced collective and the first famous teachers, excellent teaching team, while Deng Tietao scholarships, other scholarships and stipends were awarded to students.

I hope every freshman cherishes the golden time that studies at school, pay attention to cultivating morality, solidarity and friendship, hard working, up and coming, make effort to develop good comprehensive quality and excellent character with much faster, higher and stronger spirit, so as to become the advanced personnel that the state and people need.” “Let’s hold together to take on the commission and responsibility of constructing GUCM. The military training inspiration meeting was held after the opening ceremony, and Chen Yinghua, the Vice-Secretary of the university CPC committee gave his inspiration speech. He encouraged the freshmen to make good use of this chance to anneal self-consciously, conquer themselves, to overcome a good many tests from psychological, physical, will, and rapid military living, so as to strengthen their courage of confronting with difficulty and frustration. Major Zhang Lubo presented at the meeting and gave a speech, too. He suggested that all the students act as the regulation, carry out military service obligation, and treat themselves strictly until finishing military training.
